This Personal Finance blog includes items of interest to individuals. There are short blurbs on various items. There are also weekend news digests that are typically published on Saturdays; currently, the sources are Barron's, CME, Yahoo Finance, US Treasury, DepositAccounts, etc. The goals of the Blog are to enhance financial literacy and independence. The contents of the website are public and can be accessed by anyone; but only members can post questions or comments via Reply feature. If these materials are used, please include an appropriate website link(s) to them.
Style of items is conversational to the extent possible on often dry subjects. The idea is that if you want to know something about a topic [e.g. car buying or life insurance or MMA/MMF accounts], in real life you may call a knowledgeable relative or friend and get some pointers in a few minutes. This is what the short topic blurbs intend to provide. However, commonly used terms in that area are used and the level is from elementary to advanced. This project started on Facebook that has its own limitations on content, style and format; and there is no indexing. In the beginning, this website will serve as support for archival posts on Facebook but those will be accessible in a more organized format. While the initial content here is simply the archival material from Facebook posts, that will change later.
Nothing here will constitute financial/investment advice and readers must do due diligence on their own [DIYs] or with the help of advisors.
